Please note that the DFA and Celerity technicians have been actively working to resolve the issue, and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. As of now, a lot of Celerity sites in Midrand are back online except for The Heights Estate and 1 on Heather. Please rest assured that the team is dedicated to resolving the issue as quickly as possible.
Reason For Outage (RFO):
Root Cause: DFA has identified the root cause of the problem, and it is related to have been subjected to an act of vandalism, which has caused significant disruption to the services.
Current Status: While progress has been made, Celerity regrets to inform you that 2 sites (The Heights and 1 on Heather) are still affected by the outage.
Action Plan: DFA technicians are actively working on implementing a comprehensive solution to restore full functionality to the affected sites.
Estimated Time of Resolution (ETR): At this time, Celerity anticipates that the issue will be fully resolved by close of business (COB). However, please note that this is subject to change based on the complexity of the problem.

Dear valued customer,
Please note that Celerity has reported a major cable break in the Midrand precinct – 22 January 2024. The cable break is a result of vandalism by unknown parties.
This is a severe break which has affected at least 66 cables along one of their major routes. Celerity is prioritizing their response to this incident, and resources will be deployed accordingly. Celerity currently has multiple teams preparing the site and assessing the full extent of the damage. Celerity expects this repair work to be extensive and have therefore planned to have shifts working around the clock until connectivity is restored.
Celerity is still assessing the full extent of the damage and are not able to provide an ETR as of yet. Updates will be posted on our Network Status page.
