    This is to advise that there is a fibre break in the area, this has been caused by the digging that is taking place by Johansburg Water to replace water pipes in Mopani and Mahogany.

     

    Please note that we have our team onsite working on the maintenance of the Fibre break.

     

    We do not have any ETA on the issue but it should be resolved before close of business day today.

    We had our technicians  this afternoon running routine inspections and quality checks on the infrastructure, they discovered that one of the manholes was drenched in water and had the dome joint water logged.

     

    This requires us to conduct maintenance to avoid any future issue with your home connectivity due to degradation of the man hole.

     

    Kindly note that we will have planned maintenance schedules for the 29/10/2020 from 09:30am until before EOD, during this period you will experience intermittent connectivity to no connectivity.

FNB DUPLICATE TRANSACTIONS (Reported)

    If you have been experiencing difficulties with regards to your account, FNB has advised that they are currently having issues with the migration of their new platform and will be attending to all duplicate transactions that may have occurred to your account.

    Please note attached and communication below -:

    “We are aware of the issues faced where selected card transactions have been duplicated on the cardholders account with a subsequent over settlement to your nominated bank account. 

     

    Unfortunately we have experienced some technical challenges with the introduction of our new platform, whereby the system has processed both the authorization message and the settlement message as independent transactions if they are not immediately received as concurrent transactions. Any delay in the settlement message has meant the system was unable to match the authorization and the settlement messages, and therefore the resultant duplication. 

     

    We apologize for the inconvenience caused to both yourselves and your customers while we reverse the duplicate transactions and work on a formal system fix that will be implemented by the end of October. A full reconciliation list of transactions reversed will be made available to assist you in reconciling your accounts.

Challenges due to Wayleaves on Metrofibre (Scheduled)

    Kindly note that there are still challenges with the wayleaves from Metro Fibre as per email below. This will probably only get resolved by end of January 2020.

    "As previously indicated. The access build was completed. The problem is on the route and needs a valid wayleave to rectify.

    We were expecting the wayleaves at the beginning of December, unfortunately this did not materialize and we need to wait till January to follow up on wayleaves."
